Defrashkat Epic is the best word I could use to describe this album: not to mention this artist's work in general. At the Edge paints a meaningful and vivid dream in the mind of the listener, that serves both as an exciting, exhilarating journey and a warning of a possible dark future. Favorite track: A Coming Storm.

David McLane crawling, scratching, inching toward the nothing. screams layered with pain surround me. I reach ever reaching toward the impossible sound of salvation. one more limping step. the sound...where is it coming from. then the gates open and the music lifts me like wings. I have finally found the city of the lost Favorite track: A Coming Storm.

Michael Reilly The superb soundtrack to the abandoned City of the Lost. Fantastic sound from these Russian post-rockers, producing a powerful fusion of alternative, rock and metal styles into one exciting journey of discovery. Favorite track: Omen, Pt.1 (Temple Keepers).

about

City of the Lost - At the Edge (2013) - Chapter I
The first full-length album represented the first chapter of the general concept in the work of the band. It tells about the journey in the post-apocalyptic world of the future after a man-made disaster caused by the irresponsible actions of mankind in the present to find the lost ark-city.

It took only a few decades after the Second Great War, when humanity came again to the edge of destruction. And this time, people uncovered the horrible evil. It released in the form of thousands nuclear suns, that wiped out the civilization on planet Earth.

But the end of the world was just the beginning of a long road of the chosen one through the endless wasteland and ruins of cities, inhabited by disgusting mythical creatures.
